On Saturday, Aug. 21, the Mililani community gathered at the town center to celebrate its anniversary. The Lion Dance Club opened the ceremony by dancing around an entertained the audience. The day was filled with much entertainment, food, games and prizes.

The MHS Marching Band performs an energizer for the crowd, as well as a selection of songs. Each year, the marching band is asked to perform at the anniversry, which gives them an opportunity to raise awareness of the band and fundraise for the music department.
Junior Brysyn Ilaban, who plays on ensemble explained his hope for the audience by stating, "(I hope) just for them to know that our band is out there and that we need a lot of support and money for our band because we use a lot of money every year."
